Thanks to a generous donation by Asha-Jyothi in 2020, the RRMS Library launched our beautiful new Inspiration Studio in September 2021! The Inspiration Studio is a makerspace - a place for students to expand and enhance their creativity through art, building, design, coding, etc. It is naturally in the library because our librarians encourage students to explore all of their interests and discover who they are as people. Madame Ura has been connecting with Saint-André MS in France for the last three years in partnership with FCPS Global Classroom. Global classrooms provide students with opportunities to collaborate on authentic tasks with peers from around the world on global challenges, while increasing content knowledge and developing Portrait of a Graduate skills. A personal narrative is a narrative relating a personal experience, usually told in first person. The author’s job is to convey a message or lesson that they learned from that experience. Learn about how our 8th grade English students planned to write their personal narrative.

Digital Citizenship week is coming up on October 18-22, 2021. This year’s theme brings together digital citizenship and social emotional learning as students explore SEL in Digital Life. Students are online more than ever before, so teaching them how to use technology thoughtfully and responsibly is an essential part of their social and emotional development and academic success. Learn how RRMS is participating in Digital Citizenship Week this year.

Señora Singer's students worked on an assignment titled "My Multilingual Timeline" in which they reflected on their language acquisition by developing a personal timeline.
